Set It Free…

We all know how the saying goes…If you truly love something, Set it free, If it comes back to you, It’s yours to keep. Which rings true with relationships. After being in a relationship, it’s hard to readjust to single life. Especially if your heart has been broken. Let’s face it, even if you are already single, there’s one thing we all want. LOVE. Sometimes when you have love in your grasp, it can slip away. In that case it’s best to let it go. Remember, all things happen for a reason. It’s part of a master plan. And if that’s the love that was meant to be in your life, it will come back to you. When and if it does, hold onto it. Because letting it slip away a second time doesn’t mean it’s guaranteed to come back yet again.

Just a Quick Thought

Taking a different route today…instead of men, I wanna speak about adult bullies. I think that everyone has been bullied at least once in their life and it’s common to think that an adult would know better, as where a child looks to an adult to show them right from wrong. We all know that this is not true. I sometimes run into children who are more mature than a lot of the adults I know. Lately I have noticed that some authority figures play the bully game way harder than just an average Joe. Which baffles me, because they are the ones that are supposed to be leading stragglers or anyone looking for a role model down the wrong path. I mean, take all these commercials that are on TV for political races. If that’s not bullying, than what is? It’s really frustrating how mean and ignorant such high powered people can be. Especially when they use just a small piece of information to bully someone they don’t know. Have some self respect and respect the people you come in contact with on a daily basis, and then maybe you will get respect in return. On that note, Happy Saturday everyone :)

Being the Hunted, Not the Hunter

One of my good friends has always told me that men like to hunt, not be hunted. They like a challenge. As a woman, it’s hard to deny your excitement when you are really into a man. But if you make the challenge too easy, a man will lose interest quickly. The one thing that sucks most of all is that as a woman, we like to be open and give our all to a person that has us falling. We all try to think of reasons it would be ok to make the first call or send the first text. I, myself, am guilty of that within the last hour. lol. Its kind of like a craving. What is a good way to curb the craving? Or how can we preoccupy ourselves until the craving has passed?

Using Fashion Items to Refer to Men

I usually use the term purse or bag, a pair of heels or lbd to refer to a man I’m feeling. I makes sense. You have that one item your in love with ie: a pair of heels. You’re emotionally attached. You’ve invested time, pain, happiness, good times, bad times, drunk times in this pair of heels. They may wear down. They may stand the test of time. The heel may break and that’s when you must ask yourself “Are they worth fixing or should I just chalk up the loss and pitch them?” Depending on the situation, you may take it to the shoemaker and have a new lift put on. Or you may decide, there’s more where they came from and chuck them. Either way, if you really think about it…using fashion items to describe a love or attachment to a man is a pretty creative way to put a spin on things and look outside the box :)

Random Thought of the Day #2

Why does everyone (and i use the term everyone loosely) think that we contract cold from cold weather? If that was the case, we wouldn’t get colds in the summer…

You Had Me at Hello, But Not So Much Anymore

I love how people will say what it takes to sell themselves. Especially when their sales pitch is completely intriguing, and right when you want more…you learn that the real product isn’t ANYTHING that you thought it would be. I would like to call it “False Personality Advertising”. Let’s say, you meet a guy. He’s a bad boy (as i wiggle my eyebrows in delight). You speak to him regularly, and you’re so into everything he has to say. He has you encompassed with his personality. You go on dates and each time you fall deeper and deeper in LIKE with what you think he has to offer. His sales pitch is flawless. Then one day, you drop by his place (unannounced or announced. Which i’d like to add, unannounced is just rude) to find him painting his toe nails :/ Ummmmmm, yea. He had you sold when you seen him riding his bike (bike as in motorcycle that is. lol) you were in awe of the tattoos, his swag had you wanting more…but he paints his nails too? Now, I guess that could be a bad example. But I have a real life example for you. Here it goes.

I met a man. He sold me when we talked and he portrayed himself as a manly man. I thought that he could possibly balance me out (considering I’m such a girly girl). He’s a sports fanati
